For better or worse I've found myself putting together an Imperial Guard army for 40K, which I've decided to do in a similar desert colour scheme as I've used on my Ariadnans from Infinity. For them I've used (in terms of GW-brand paints) a base of Dheneb Stone with blotches of Gretchin Green and lines of Dark Flesh separating the two, in an approximation of the US Desert Tricolor camouflage pattern. However, I'm lazy, and while this works for a small-scale force if I'm doing massed infantry then anything to save time would be good.

So my question is about coloured primers, specifically those in the Army Painter range- which colour would be the closest approximation of Dheneb Stone? I'm thinking that the Desert Yellow spray may be a bit too, well, yellow, and that the Skeleton Bone colour may be a better option. However, can anyone with experience of these paints confirm that? If I can basecoat, paint on camouflage and details then quickshade the miniatures I'm way more likely to get a usable force built before something else captures my interest. ;)

As a related aside, has anyone used the Army Painter Greenskin spray and can they confirm what sort of green shade it produces (preferably in terms of GW paints)?
